At-Tāriq

86
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ
1. (Consider) the sky and the nightly star [1].
[1] I.e., the bright star that which comes in the night.
التفاسير:

:
86
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ
2. And what makes you realize what the nightly star is?
التفاسير:
|
3
:
86
ٱلنَّجۡمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ
3. (It is) the piercing star;
التفاسير:
|
4
:
86
إِن كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ لَّمَّا عَلَيۡهَا حَافِظٞ
4. There is no soul but that it has over it a guardian [2].
[2]. I.e., angels in charge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds.
التفاسير:
|
5
:
86
فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ
5. So let man consider from what he is created -
التفاسير:
|
6
:
86
خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٖ دَافِقٖ
6. He was created from a gushing fluid [3],
[3]. I.e., virile and motile sperm.
التفاسير:
|
7
:
86
يَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ
7. Coming forth from between the loins (of man) and the rib cages (of woman).
التفاسير:
|
8
:
86
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٞ
8. Indeed, He (Allāh) is surely Able to return him (back to life).
التفاسير:
|
9
:
86
يَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ
9. On the Day when all secrets are exposed (examined and judged),
التفاسير:
|
10
:
86
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٖ وَلَا نَاصِرٖ
10. So he (i.e., the disbeliever on that Day) will have neither strength nor any helper.
التفاسير:
|
11
:
86
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِ
11.(Consider) the heaven ever-revolving [4],
[4]. With whatever is in it and recurring patterns of rain, heat, sound waves, etc.
التفاسير:

:
86
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِ
12. And the earth that cracks open [5].
[5]. I.e., for sprouting plants.
التفاسير:
|
13
:
86
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلٞ فَصۡلٞ
13. Indeed it (Qur’an) is surely a decisive word,
التفاسير:
|
14
:
86
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ
14. And it is not idle talk (to be taken lightly).
التفاسير:
|
15
:
86
إِنَّهُمۡ يَكِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗا
15. Surely, they (the disbelievers) are plotting a plot,
التفاسير:
|
16
:
86
وَأَكِيدُ كَيۡدٗا
16. And I am planning a plan.
التفاسير:
|
17
:
86
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَيۡدَۢا
17. So give respite to the disbelievers, give them respite for a little while [6].
[6]. I.e., Do not be in haste in seeking their Doom.
