6 : 14

6. And [remember] when Moses said to his people, “Recall Allāh’s favor upon you when He saved you from Pharaoh’s people,
who afflicted you with a dreadful torment,
slaughtering your sons and sparing your women [for servitude]. And in that was a tremendous trial from your Lord.”

7 : 14

7. And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, “If you are grateful [5], I will surely increase you in favor; but if you are ungrateful, then indeed My punishment is severe.” info

[5]. True gratitude to Allāh is the servant’s response to divine grace. It shines on the tongue through words of praise, in the heart through love and mindful remembrance, and upon the limbs through humble obedience. Real thankfulness stands upon five principles: to submit to Allāh, to love Him, to recognize His blessings, to praise Him for them, and to never use His gifts in disobedience to Him.
These five form the very soul of gratitude —
and if one is missing, the beauty of thankfulness is incomplete.

8 : 14

8. And Moses said, “If you disbelieve, you and all who are on the earth together —
indeed, Allāh is surely Self-Sufficient, and Praiseworthy.”

9 : 14

9. Have there not come to you the stories of those before you, the people of Noah, ʿĀd, Thamūd, and those after them?
None knows [their number] except Allāh.
Their messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they returned their hands to their mouths and said, “Indeed, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent, and we are in grave doubt concerning that to which you invite us, suspicious.”

10 : 14

10. Their messengers said, “Can there be any doubt about Allāh — the Originator of the heavens and the earth? He calls you so that He may forgive you your sins and grant you respite until an appointed time.”
They said: “You are nothing but humans like us! You want to turn us away from what our forefathers used to worship. So bring us a clear authority [a visible proof] if you are truthful.”
