32 : 5

مِنۡ أَجۡلِ ذَٰلِكَ كَتَبۡنَا عَلَىٰ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنَّهُۥ مَن قَتَلَ نَفۡسَۢا بِغَيۡرِ نَفۡسٍ أَوۡ فَسَادٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعٗا وَمَنۡ أَحۡيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَآ أَحۡيَا ٱلنَّاسَ جَمِيعٗاۚ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُنَا بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُم بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَمُسۡرِفُونَ

32. For that reason, We decreed for the children of Israel [and for all people after them] that whoever kills a soul, unless in retribution for murder or for spreading corruption in the land, it is as though he killed all of mankind ^[35]. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he has saved all mankind. Indeed, Our mesengers came to them with clear Proofs, yet even after that, many of them surely still transgress throughout the land.

[35]. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“The gravest of all sins are:
(1) Associating partners with Allāh,
(2) Unjustly taking a human life,
(3) Disobedience to one’s parents, and
(4) Bearing false testimony.”

33 : 5

إِنَّمَا جَزَٰٓؤُاْ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَيَسۡعَوۡنَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوٓاْ أَوۡ يُصَلَّبُوٓاْ أَوۡ تُقَطَّعَ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ وَأَرۡجُلُهُم مِّنۡ خِلَٰفٍ أَوۡ يُنفَوۡاْ مِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ ذَٰلِكَ لَهُمۡ خِزۡيٞ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ وَلَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

33. The only punishment for those who wage war against Allāh and His messenger and who spread corruption in the land ^[36] is: that they be killed or crucified, or have their hands and their feet cut off on opposite sides, or be exiled from the land ^[37]. This is their disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter they will have a grievous punishment.

[36]. That is, armed individuals or groups who commit violent crimes against civilians or wage rebellion against public order.
[37] .This verse outlines the prescribed penalties for acts such as highway robbery, armed banditry, and organized violence that endanger society.

34 : 5

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُواْ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن تَقۡدِرُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡۖ فَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ

34. Except those who repent before you overpower them; then know that Allāh is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

35 : 5

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَٱبۡتَغُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ ٱلۡوَسِيلَةَ وَجَٰهِدُواْ فِي سَبِيلِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ

35. O believers, fear Allāh and seek means of nearness to Him ^[38], and strive in His cause, so that you may succeed.

[38]. I.e., seek all lawful means that lead to Allāh’s pleasure and closeness—through faith, worship, and good deeds done sincerely for His sake.

36 : 5

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِيعٗا وَمِثۡلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لِيَفۡتَدُواْ بِهِۦ مِنۡ عَذَابِ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنۡهُمۡۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ

36. Indeed, those who disbelieve, even if they possessed everything on earth and the like of it with it, to ransom themselves thereby from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection, it would not be accepted from them. For them is a painful punishment.
