[24]. The “everlasting good deeds” refer to all actions that please Allāh, the Almighty — whether they are the five daily prayers or words of remembrance of Him. Unlike the fleeting adornments of worldly life, these deeds endure forever for those who perform them, and they are called “good” because they are carried out in a manner that pleases Allāh.
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said, “To say: Subḥānallāh (Glory be to Allāh), Al-ḥamdu lillāh (All praise and gratitude be to Allāh), Lā ilāha illallāh (There is no god but Allāh), and Allāhu Akbar (Allāh is the Greatest) — these are among the everlasting good deeds.”
[25]. Nude, uncircumcised, and lonely.
[26]. Demons would sometimes possess idols and speak through them. People, in fear and ignorance, sought refuge from the harm of the jinn by praising them and offering sacrifices in their name — acts of devotion that rightfully belong only to Allāh.
[27]. Satan, together with his fellow demons, continues to lead people astray from the Straight Path of Islam — deceiving them through false beliefs, desires, and distractions from the remembrance of Allāh.
[28]. Allāh — the source and giver of true guidance — would never take as helpers those false gods who are themselves the cause of misguidance and delusion. For how could the One who guides to the Straight Path seek aid from those who lead astray?
[29]. The false deities they worshipped besides Allāh will completely forsake them on the Day of Judgment — abandoning them at the very moment they need them most. On that Day, those they invoked will disown their followers, declaring their innocence of the worship directed to them. All ties between the worshippers and their idols will be severed, and both will face the reality that none has power or intercession except Allāh alone. And both will share the same doom.
