لَّا يَسۡتَوِي ٱلۡقَٰعِدُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ غَيۡرُ أُوْلِي ٱلضَّرَرِ وَٱلۡمُجَٰهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ وَأَنفُسِهِمۡۚ فَضَّلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُجَٰهِدِينَ بِأَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ وَأَنفُسِهِمۡ عَلَى ٱلۡقَٰعِدِينَ دَرَجَةٗۚ وَكُلّٗا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَفَضَّلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمُجَٰهِدِينَ عَلَى ٱلۡقَٰعِدِينَ أَجۡرًا عَظِيمٗا
95. Not equal are those believers who sit behind [at home] - other than the disabled - and those who strive [and fight] in the Cause of Allāh with their wealth and their lives. Allāh has preferred those who strive and fight with their wealth and their lives above those who remain [behind] a [high] degree. To all Allāh has promised good; yet Allāh has favored those who strive and fight above those who remain [behind] with a great Reward:

96
:
4
دَرَجَٰتٖ مِّنۡهُ وَمَغۡفِرَةٗ وَرَحۡمَةٗۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٗا رَّحِيمًا
96. [High] ranks [43] from Him, and forgiveness and mercy. And Allāh is ever All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[43]. I.e., stations one higher than the other in honour.

97
:
4
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ تَوَفَّىٰهُمُ ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ ظَالِمِيٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ قَالُواْ فِيمَ كُنتُمۡۖ قَالُواْ كُنَّا مُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ قَالُوٓاْ أَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ أَرۡضُ ٱللَّهِ وَٰسِعَةٗ فَتُهَاجِرُواْ فِيهَاۚ فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ مَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَسَآءَتۡ مَصِيرًا
97. Indeed, those whose souls the angels take while they are unjust to themselves [44] - [the angels] will say: "In what state were you?" They will reply: "We were oppressed in the earth." The [angels] will say: "Was not the earth of Allāh spacious [enough] for you to emigrate therein?" For those, their abode is Gehinnom 'Hell' - what an evil destination!
[44]. By preferring to stay among disbelievers, in an environment where one cannot freely practice Islam, despite having the means to emigrate.

98
:
4
إِلَّا ٱلۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ وَٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلۡوِلۡدَٰنِ لَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ حِيلَةٗ وَلَا يَهۡتَدُونَ سَبِيلٗا
98. Except for the oppressed among men, women, and children, who have no means in their power [to plan] nor are they guided to any way [to leave];

99
:
4
فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ عَسَى ٱللَّهُ أَن يَعۡفُوَ عَنۡهُمۡۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَفُوًّا غَفُورٗا
99. Then for those, it may be that Allāh will pardon them. And Allāh is ever Pardoning, All-Forgiving.

4
۞ وَمَن يُهَاجِرۡ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ يَجِدۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُرَٰغَمٗا كَثِيرٗا وَسَعَةٗۚ وَمَن يَخۡرُجۡ مِنۢ بَيۡتِهِۦ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ثُمَّ يُدۡرِكۡهُ ٱلۡمَوۡتُ فَقَدۡ وَقَعَ أَجۡرُهُۥ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورٗا رَّحِيمٗا
100. Whoever emigrates for the Cause of Allāh will find on the earth many places of refuge and abundance [of blessings]. And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant for Allāh and His messenger, then death overtakes him, his reward is indeed incumbent on Allāh. And Allāh is ever All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

:
4
وَإِذَا ضَرَبۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَلَيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَقۡصُرُواْ مِنَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ إِنۡ خِفۡتُمۡ أَن يَفۡتِنَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْۚ إِنَّ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ كَانُواْ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٗا مُّبِينٗا
101. When you are travel through the land, there is no blame on you for shortening the prayer [45], if you fear that those who disbelieve may attack you. Indeed, The disbelievers are a clear enemy to you.
[45]. During travel, the four-rakʿah prayers are shortened to two rakʿahs. The practice of the Prophet ﷺ and his companions shows that this allowance is based solely on travel, not on fear.
