[62]. Of spiritual supremacy as opposed to temporal supremacy.
[63]. This is related to their engagement in the remembrance of Allāh during prayers; they do not mention Allāh with their tongues, their hearts and body parts are not humbled, and their minds are wandering. This is because what is in their hearts is not to please Allāh, but rather to please the people.
[64]. The hypocrites live in a state of perpetual doubt and constant perplexity, so they are always experiencing a state of dilemma.
[65]. Hell is a place of divine judgment for sinners, with varying degrees of punishment based on several factors in a person’s life. These include the extent to which one surrendered to sin, the influence one had on others to commit sin, and the knowledge of the truth one possessed and rejected. This does not mean that any punishment in Hell will be less than complete, but the Qur’an indicates that some will endure greater suffering or bear a fiercer measure of Allah’s wrath.
[66]. For your repentance, self-discipline, and good deeds, you will be abundantly rewarded.
