88 : 16

ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ زِدۡنَٰهُمۡ عَذَابٗا فَوۡقَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يُفۡسِدُونَ

88. Those who disbelieved and turned others away from the path of Allah —
We shall add to them torment upon [their] torment, because of the corruption they used to spread.

89 : 16

وَيَوۡمَ نَبۡعَثُ فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٖ شَهِيدًا عَلَيۡهِم مِّنۡ أَنفُسِهِمۡۖ وَجِئۡنَا بِكَ شَهِيدًا عَلَىٰ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِۚ وَنَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ تِبۡيَٰنٗا لِّكُلِّ شَيۡءٖ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ وَبُشۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ

89. On the Day when We shall raise up from within each people a witness against them, and bring you, [O Muhammad] as a witness against these [peope of yours]. We have sent down the Book to you as an explanation of everything, a guide, mercy and good news for the Muslims [35]. info

[35]. Those who submit themselves to God.

90 : 16

۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡعَدۡلِ وَٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ وَإِيتَآيِٕ ذِي ٱلۡقُرۡبَىٰ وَيَنۡهَىٰ عَنِ ٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَٱلۡبَغۡيِۚ يَعِظُكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ

90. Indeed, Allāh commands justice, excellence, and giving generously to close relatives [36]; and He forbids indecency, wrongdoing, and oppression. He admonishes you, so that you may take heed. info

[36]. Degrees of kinship: parents, then offspring, then brothers and sisters, then paternal uncles and aunts, then maternal uncles and aunts, and then other relatives.

91 : 16

وَأَوۡفُواْ بِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا عَٰهَدتُّمۡ وَلَا تَنقُضُواْ ٱلۡأَيۡمَٰنَ بَعۡدَ تَوۡكِيدِهَا وَقَدۡ جَعَلۡتُمُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ كَفِيلًاۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ

91. Fulfill the covenant of Allāh when you make a pledge, and do not break oaths after confirming them, for you have made Allāh your witness. Indeed, Allāh knows all that you do. info

92 : 16

وَلَا تَكُونُواْ كَٱلَّتِي نَقَضَتۡ غَزۡلَهَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنكَٰثٗا تَتَّخِذُونَ أَيۡمَٰنَكُمۡ دَخَلَۢا بَيۡنَكُمۡ أَن تَكُونَ أُمَّةٌ هِيَ أَرۡبَىٰ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍۚ إِنَّمَا يَبۡلُوكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦۚ وَلَيُبَيِّنَنَّ لَكُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ مَا كُنتُمۡ فِيهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ

92. Do not be like the woman who [foolishly] untwisted her spun thread after it was strong, [disintegrating it] into pieces, by taking your oaths as [means of] deceit between you, simply because one nation may be more plentiful [in number or wealth] than another nation. Allāh only tries you thereby; and He will surely make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection (and judgement) that over which you used to differ. info

93 : 16

وَلَوۡ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمۡ أُمَّةٗ وَٰحِدَةٗ وَلَٰكِن يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِي مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَلَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

93. Had Allāh willed, He could have made you all one community [of a single religion] [37]; but He lets go astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. And surely, you will be questioned about what you used to do. info

[37]. Allāh, through His boundless Power and infinite Wisdom, could have made all people believers, but then how would their Faith be tested and they be held accountable for their deeds.
